Accessibility Statement
LegalScapes is committed to ensuring that our website is accessible to everyone, including people with disabilities. We continually work to improve the user experience for all visitors.
Our Commitment
LegalScapes is dedicated to providing a website that is accessible to the widest possible audience, regardless of technology or ability. We actively work to increase the accessibility and usability of our website and in doing so adhere to many of the available standards and guidelines.
We believe that every visitor to our website deserves the same quality of experience, and we are committed to making continuous improvements to meet that goal.
Measures We Have Taken
To support accessibility, LegalScapes has implemented the following measures on this website:
- Semantic HTML: All pages use proper HTML5 landmark elements (
<header>,<main>,<nav>,<footer>) to provide meaningful structure for assistive technologies. - Skip navigation link: A "Skip to main content" link is available at the top of every page, allowing keyboard users to bypass repetitive navigation.
- Keyboard navigability: All interactive elements — navigation menus, links, buttons, and forms — are fully operable via keyboard without requiring a mouse.
- Descriptive alt text: All meaningful images include descriptive alternative text. Decorative images are marked appropriately so screen readers can skip them.
- ARIA labels: Navigation landmarks and interactive components include ARIA labels to provide context for screen reader users.
- Color contrast: Text and interactive elements are designed to meet or exceed the WCAG 2.1 AA minimum contrast ratio of 4.5:1 for normal text and 3:1 for large text.
- Resizable text: All text on the site can be resized up to 200% using browser controls without loss of content or functionality.
- No content dependent on color alone: Information is never conveyed by color alone; additional visual cues are used where color is employed.
- Form labels: All form fields include visible labels and/or ARIA attributes to ensure they are properly identified by assistive technologies.
- Focus indicators: Visible focus indicators are present on all interactive elements to assist keyboard navigation.
- No auto-playing media: The website does not use auto-playing audio or video that could disrupt users of assistive technologies.
- Consistent navigation: Navigation menus appear in the same location and order across all pages, reducing cognitive load.
Technical Specifications
This website relies on the following technologies for conformance with WCAG 2.1:
- HTML5
- CSS3
- JavaScript (used for progressive enhancement only; all core content and navigation is available without JavaScript)
- WAI-ARIA (Web Accessibility Initiative — Accessible Rich Internet Applications)
Known Limitations
While we strive to ensure accessibility across the entire website, we acknowledge that some areas may not yet fully meet the WCAG 2.1 AA standard. We are actively working to identify and address these gaps. Known areas under review include:
- Some older blog posts published prior to 2023 may contain images with incomplete alternative text descriptions. We are reviewing and updating these on an ongoing basis.
- Third-party embedded content (such as HubSpot forms and social media widgets) may not fully conform to our accessibility standards. We work with our vendors to improve accessibility where possible.

Ongoing Efforts
Accessibility is an ongoing effort. We conduct periodic internal reviews of our website against WCAG 2.1 AA criteria and address issues as they are identified. We also review accessibility as part of our standard process when adding new pages or features to the site.
